Customer Experience
Our clients thoughts about being apart of the Icebolethu Funerals UK family.

Masondo Family
On the 30th of March 2020 our beloved sister Nonhlanhla passed on in London where she was working as a Social worker, due to COVID 19. Losing her was an emotionally traumatic experience, of not knowing where to begin…

It was complicated leading to unresolved issues of communication and also how are we going to manage repatriating her body to South Africa.
The Masondo Family would like to express our sincere gratitude and deepest appreciation to Icebolethu spiritual counsel, we were devastated and couldn’t think clearly. Having both the London and South Africa Icebolethu team to assist us with making phone calls, emails and planning the service was a big help to us.
Your loving support and kindness during those hours of bereavement meant a great deal to us. The funeral service you performed gave comfort and inspiration to everyone who was present.
May God bless and keep you all.
Much love.

As you were patiently assisting the family in respect of our sister’s cremation and repatriation I developed such a severe and persistent headache that I rarely slept at night. This condition was aggravated by my wife’s admission to hospital to undergo an operation in May…

She was admitted for three weeks. Immediately after the funeral I consulted the Specialist Physician who referred me to the Psychologist.
I had to undergo counselling and therapy for some days for a nervous breakdown. I am far better now and can sleep properly.
What you did for the family was unbelievable. You just displayed your skills and expertise to the superlative degree. Your patience, understanding and calculative experience was so therapeutic to the family. You made us feel as if we were walking together with our beloved late sister during the course of all the preparations.
Every step was executed with military precision. You really adhered to the Vision, Mission and Values of your organization.
In South Africa you referred us to the capable hands of the soft- spoken Mr Sphamandla Vilakazi who was always warm, cordial and very helpful to the family. He was well disciplined. Everything was done to the Tee. His team was a product of a well oiled machine, a product of a good business management etiquette.
The family had awesome service from the Icebolethu team. Such a dedicated and professional team.
The final product was displayed and exhibited by Mr Maphumalo who masterminded and engineered the conveyance of the remains of our late sister in style from the mortuary to her residence and eventually to her resting place.

The professionalism, empathy, full sympathy and caring manner you showed and gave us, it’s few of the attributes I can give to you team, as this was the most painful and confusing time for us, having to handle the death and repatriation of our close friend’s body back to South Africa.
To be honest we didn’t even know where to start, but your intervention from day one we contacted you, you put our worries at ease, and gave us your full support and direction. Finishing off in South Africa, the work you started here in the UK it was a cherry on top of the icing.
The dignity and continuous professionalism you showed at home, relatives and friends felt very comforted all the way. We appreciate what the Durban team did. I am mentioning Sne Mcoyi because she was our first point of contact till the end, but bearing in mind that she was not doing this alone.
I am sending warmest regards from the bottom of my heart and all of Cylvia Njilo’s friends. Thank-you. Keep up the good work.
Thandi.
