As we navigate through the era of COVID-19, collaboration and unity will ensure we remain agile and flexible in this time of crisis. This is the reason Icebolethu UK continues to work tirelessly to ensure we repatriate SADC nationals living in the United Kingdom should the unfortunate time of death occur.

This past weekend, in the Free-State, we laid to rest Evonne Mogoregi, who was living in the UK as a healthcare worker. Icebolethu UK facilitated the repatriation from the UK to OR Tambo International airport. Upon arriving at the airport, Icebolethu took care of all customs and paperwork to have Evonne transported and buried in her home town in the Free-State.

The funeral service was held on Sunday, 21 February 2021 and Icebolethu UK handled all funeral arrangements from mortuary, funeral service at home, deco, cemetery, and transportation. We also made sure all COVID-19 regulations were followed and provided the necessary scanning and sanitising stations.

We offer our sincere condolences to the Mogoregi family for the loss of Evonne who left South Africa seeking for better opportunities in the United Kingdom to improve the quality of life for her family. We also commend Evonne for having a funeral policy in her time of death as to not burden her family with the costs of repatriation and transportation. To her family’s relief, they were able to mourn the death of their beloved daughter without inquiring any funeral costs.

In these unprecedented times of COVID-19, the likelihood of getting a funeral policy, especially while living abroad has become a necessity rather than a want. Icebolethu UK provides repatriation for SADC nationals and well as cash repatriation globally. Contact us on 0044(0) 203 0594 581  | 0044(0) 749 6420 932  | sales@icebolethuinternational.com
